Created as a glass sample project for a glue-chipping workshop with our local Oregon contingent of eclectic sign crafters at a Portland Letterhead gathering. 1/4″ glass has been sandblasted, then glue-chipped. Primary lettering is a 2-tone 23K gild, with the outer part being burnished and the centers being matte. Secondary letters are a matte gild of 23K gold leaf; the heron is a matte gild of 18K. There’s purple ‘Prisma-Glitter’ in the heron’s beak & legs. Behind is a purple gradient, hand blended with a small piece of sponge while the glass was spinning around on a lazy-susan.
